Morning Routine – Nonnegotiable

The alarm is blaring but all you want to do is hit snooze. What do you do? Set up a morning routine.

When I first started, I created one fixed routine in the morning that comprised of just 4 steps: get out of bed, weigh myself, brush teeth, and drink water. That’s it. From just those four things, I immediately started the day with 4 things in the Win column. From that routine, it taught me the art of consistency and I overcame my fear of perfection. No matter what happened the rest of the day from that point on didn’t matter, I had already won the morning. This led to building a habit of consistency which led to me being more consistent in logging food, going to the gym, and so many more things.

Challenge to the reader: build a nonnegotiable morning routine.
