Motivation is a funny thing. Similar to the short supply of NOS inside one of your favorite street racing cars, it’s all fun and games before Dominic Toretto pulls up in your rear view window. So what keeps me motivated for the long run?
Habit forming apps. Whether you use Habitica, Streaks, or the myriad of other choices out there, gamifying your daily routines helped me stay the course. Leveraging my minds insatiable thirst for quick hits of dopamine and external validation, I utilized these habit forming apps to lock down my morning routine and make going to gym more enjoyable.
Starting with simple tasks like weighing yourself in the morning, going to the gym, or even planning out an entire sleep routine, these apps have helped me tremendously in reaching some of weight targets. Will I use these forever? Probably not. But in the meantime, these apps may help you in this long race we call weight loss.
